Bullion knot embroidery with silk threads

Bridal blouse design

This is a wonderful grand design for a perfect bridal blouse. The saree had beautiful green and blue combination of colours. With maximum green and a little of blue. So we wanted to try a peacock oriented design.  We started with a normal zari and thread loading for the neckline. Then a layer of few leaves with blue and green threads. Then comes the highlighting motif of peacock feathers. The centre of the peacock feather is made with a small blue thilagam stone with sugar beads outline. Next outer layer is a long and short stitch with green Color thread. The next layer is a shade of dark green thread. This shading effect gives a beautiful look for the peacock feathers. The gap in between the leaves and peacock feathers are filled with gold zari water filling stitches. All these threads and colours on a contrasting purple colour fabric makes it bright and vibrant.

The sleeve is an elbow pattern. The same design like in the neck is done on the centre part forming a cold shoulder patter. The downside border and the portion inside the cold shoulder area is filled with checks. The checks are done with cutdana beads. The sides other than the peacock feathers and checks are filled with very small kodi designs with sugar beads. The sugar bead kodi motifs are outlined with a gold zari thread. A small round bead is placed on one corner of the diamond checks just like a small droplet. On the whole the sleeve is fully covered with the beautiful peacock feathers and checks and kodi.
