Mat weave design

This is another unique art piece. The saree is a very mild sky blue colour with silver zari border. The blouse is of a light lavender colour. With a mild and cute contrast, I chose the paai pinnal (mat weave) design. The diamond shapes are made with interlock patterns and filled with weaving stitches. These shapes are outlined with sugar beads. The work was neat and grand because of the use of only threads and beads.
